Introduction

Rise of Immortals™ is an online, free-to-play PC game that expands on the hit Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre with new, innovative features designed to appeal to both core and casual players.

Rise of Immortals is set in the world of Graxia, 300 years after the events of “Guardians of Graxia,”™ Petroglyph’s fantasy-based PC game released last year. Rise of Immortals features the popular action-strategy gameplay of traditional MOBA games, but adds enhanced socialization features, along with persistent character progression – a first for the MOBA genre. Instead of an account- based leveling system, players can advance their Immortals through a diverse, persistent skill tree, customizing and upgrading the characters to unlock unique abilities that persist from match to match.

In addition, Rise of Immortals features a social hub where players can show off their enhanced Immortals, chat, emote, browse leaderboards, shop, manage friend and guild lists and more. Players also have the option of taking their Immortals through cooperative Player versus Environment (PvE) scenarios to learn the game, try out new abilities, and earn persistent experience before jumping into Player versus Player (PvP) matches online.

Players can purchase items via the in-game store to further enhance their Immortals, including new Immortal skins and consumable items like in-game boosters and elixirs. Petroglyph plans to release new content on a regular basis, including additional Immortals, arenas, skins, sound packs, and more.

What kind of game is Rise of Immortals?

Rise of Immortals is a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA). The game has a strong focus on team-based scenarios with support for both Player vs. Player and Co-Op game modes.

Does it cost monthly to play?

No. Rise of Immortals is a free-to-play game with microtransaction features.

Are STEAM accounts separate than Petroglyph accounts?

Yes, though you can use your originally registered Petroglyph account to login to Steam and gain Achievements and other exclusives. If you are just registered through Steam and want to participate in the forums, you still need to fully complete the registration process on Steam!

What age group and level is the game for?

Rise of Immortals fully supports both competitive Ranked games and casual co-op, Player vs. Environment game modes, meaning Rise of Immortals has something to offer for every level of player.

Is it PvP only, or can I join a solo match?

Players can choose to play in several PvP game modes, or team-up with their friends for a co-op scenario against AI bots.

Will you be releasing more characters post-launch?

Absolutely! In fact, we have several Immortals in the development pipeline that will be revealed soon. We expect to have at least a couple of Immortals, as well as skins, items, and other features released a couple of times a month each.

Does the game have friend/guild matchmaking support?

Yes, both sustained friends lists and player-made guilds will be supported at or soon after launch of the game.

Do I get to keep any items and levels for my characters?

Rise of Immortals is unique among MOBAs in that persistence is bound directly to the immortal character. This means that the more you play a character, the more powerful they become through persisted itemization and level.

Will all items and Immortals have to be purchased?

No, Rise of Immortals is a Free-to-Play game, so many items will be free.

Do the developers make a presence in the game?

Absolutely! We'll be popping in from time to time to cheer you on. We've already participated in several community vs developer events... we won't let you know who won here, you will have to join the game to find out :).

What does Petroglyph plan for the game post-release?

Tons of stuff, much of it of your choosing! We'll be continually releasing new Immortals and items for them (based often on your feedback), as well as competitions, contests, and more features for the game to connect you with other players.
