UPDATE: Server is online and game has been updated. Seen notes below. Have fun trying out Trovoc!

Two alternate skins for Trovoc are included in this update as well! More coming soon:

Rise of Immortals
Patch Date: 27 September 2011

Quote

1. CLIENT / MAIN MENU
a. Screen name characters limited to A-Z., 0-9 and _.
b. Improved profanity filter

2. SOCIAL HUB
a. Vendor button added that allows access to all items purchasable in the hub.
b. Fix for French-Canadian keyboard when adding funds.

3. IMMORTALS
3.1. Lord Trovoc
a. New dragon immortal that focuses on area of denial

3.2. Balak
a. Fixed dynamite throw to allow auto attacks right after the ability is used.

3.3. Lazarus
a. Fate of darkness no longer causes an extra delay for next ability.

3.4. Nysuss
a. Reduced Base Attack Damage by 6
b. Gaze of Destruction - Slow adjusted from 15/20/25/30/35% to 25% at all levels
c. Gaze of Destruction - Move speed bonus reduced from 12/14/16/18/20 to 8/11/14/17/20
d. Destructive Flame - Armor reduction reduced from 3/6/9/12/15 to 3/4/5/6/7
e. Soul Steal - Attack damage bonus per charge increased from 0.5/0.75/1.0/1.25/1.5 to 1.0/1.25/1.5/1.75/2

3.5. Scorpix
a. Broodlings no longer have the teleport effect when teleporting back to base.

3.6. Vezin
a. Vortex no longer causes an extra delay for next ability.

4. MAP/ GAMEPLAY

4.1. 3vE Map
a. Map now allows the grey death effect on high detail settings.
b. Bots now scale based on persistent level of immortals.
4.2. Gameplay
a. Reconnecting in a combat match shows correct stats immediately
b. Call for help is invoked by shurikens and broodlings.
c. Fixed rounding issues with attack speed.
d. Bodies of disconnected players are put back in the base.

dude you said the update would take a few hours, it's been 5!!!! what the hell this only reminds me of league of legends - .-.......every time they come out with a champ, it either fks up their hardware and they can't bring the game up, or makes a bug in the game and they have to do ANOTHER update to fix it, THEN they have a 24/7 server stability issue, c'mon guys dun be as bad as Riot Games

You'll have to wait and see why this update is taking longer than normal. It's pretty exciting to see what's coming up :)

A few hours includes 5 :). Sorry about the delay in all of this, we're really working on wrapping it up as fast as we can, we just don't want to rush it and screw up for you.

In the meantime, patch notes have been posted above!

It was only a recent bug and was not intended.

It's strange how these updates work. When ever we perform a system and network wide update it's first done in our UAT environment and goes through QA. Once completed we roll out to the production environment. A 9 hour update? Sounds more like a complete rebuild. Well atleast you have a few members who are eagerly waiting for service to be restored ;)

Long patches happen, especially when something unexpected happens. Every game company does this unless they've become savvy enough to deliberately schedule patches to take hours longer than they think they should.

Now that screen name characters will be limited to A-Z., 0-9 and _. what will happened to the screen names with invalid characters?

Apparently it is rocket science to be able to have 2 servers, and simply switch the IP when the updated server is ready.

They can't do that because there will be updates on the server you are playing on which will not be loaded when they restore the parallel environment. They are taking I would expect the best approach.

That said.. I suspect something didn't work right after roll-out and they had to do several restores and on-the-fly coding to resolve the issue(s) <_<

How much longer do you guys think it will take for this patch to finish? Please give us the approximate time left for this patch? If it will take over an hour, I might as well go to sleep :P.

i just realised something, there's a bug for balak i dunno if anyone else realized it, in simplest way i can put it:
The masteries for balak have a bug, at least for me, in the champion section, the dynamite throw upgrades, upgrades 1 and 2 are fine, upgrades 3 and 4 are not, i applied a point to 3 and 4 and nothing happened, the damage to the skill was unaffected, but upgrades 3 and 4 increase the damage, please look into this.
Oh, and btw it's been about 10 hrs @.@ that is most definitely not a few, if u had problems just say so lol no biggie.
